Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Farington Lodge Hotel is generally considered a great value, offering spacious rooms, some with ample desk space. The hotel is situated in a nice area, near a local park just a short walk away, and not far from the M6. Breakfast is a highlight, with options like a cooked breakfast made to order and a choice of cereals and fruit in the fine dining room; however, a few guests felt the afternoon tea didn't meet expectations. Guests also appreciate the beautiful location and garden, styled in a typically olde England manner.

efficient shower ample desk space spacious room tired decor unclean carpet dull room
my room was spacious. it also had ample desk space. the bathroom was immaculate with an efficient shower. the breakfasts were excellent, they were served in the genteel setting of the restaurant.
the room was dull and the decor was tired. the carpet was not clean either. i found someone else's tablet on the floor so it hadn't been hoovered especially round the edges.

i was really annoyed to discover some issues with the room's cleanliness. i found a peanut on the floor and a dirty cup on the desk. there were also hairs in the bathroom and some dirt in the toilet. i told reception about the room needing cleaning at 9:00 a.m., but when i returned in the late afternoon, it hadn't been touched.

A satisfactory stay

friendly staff breakfast quality small window torn blind
The breakfast was good. Staff members were friendly. The grounds and bar added to the appeal of the hotel, I thought. The hotel had character.
The bedroom had a very small window. It was overshadowed by a tree, so the room lacked natural light. This. The blind was torn and shabby.
